Introduction

Dr.  Bernard Edem Dzramedo is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Department for Creative Design and Technology in the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences. He has many years’ experience in teaching at the tertiary level of education. He taught at the Bolgatanga Technical University for 2 years before joining the UDS. 

Dr. Bernard has served as a District Coordinator of the Third Trimester Programme for periods of (2016-2018 and 2020-2022. He has also been the Coordinator for Diploma Programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences for 8 years. 

Dr. Bernard is a key member of the re-accreditation team of KNUST Textile and Fashion Programme. He reviewed several promotional documents from the School of Creative Arts, UEW and an external assessor for MFA Textile programme at KNUST. 

Dr. Bernard prints cloths, T-shirts and saws customized curtains for schools and institutions. He also provides instructions on Introduction to Textiles and Apparel Construction, History of Costumes, Textile Design and Garment Construction and other related areas as in Small Business Enterprise Development in the Arts. He undertakes research in the area of Textile Design and Fashion and African Art and Culture Studies in line with textiles and clothing. His current studies are focused on trends within the Traditional Weaving Industry in Ghana, Recycling of used and waste textile goods into other fashionable articles that support eco-friendly environment and Mix media art with the focus of reducing Textile-waste in the environment. https://www.researchgate.net/Bernard-Edem-Dzramedo
