General Admissions Information


 

There are five categories of applicants, namely:

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate holders(SSSCE)
  • West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSSCE)
  • HND/Diploma Holders
  • State registered nurses (SRN) (with 3 years working experience)
  • Mature applicants (age: 25 years and above) and
  • International Students

Selection of qualified applicants is done by an Admission Committee headed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor usually around July.


Admission System of UDS

The Admission System used in the University for Development Studies is purely an Online Admission System for Ghanaian Applicants. There are no hard forms.


Fee-Paying Programme

There is only one Fee-paying programme available to Candidates with good science-based first degree who wish to do MBCh (Medicine), PBL 1. They should have obtained a First Class or Second Class (Upper Division)). Candidates who wish to take advantage of this facility may complete the Application Forms. Duration of programme is six (6) years.

Application forms for admission to diploma and first degree programmes in the University for Development Studies (UDS) are at any Ghana Commecial Bank (SmartPay System) all over the country.


With the payment slip from the bank, visit our online admission system at  ww.uds.edu.gh/online.php for all our categories of applicants. That is, Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSCE) holders, West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) holders, HND/Diploma holders, State Registered Nurses (SRN), and Mature applicants.

Calculation of Aggregates

For the avoidance of doubt, the University for Development Studies has adopted the WASSCE system for computation of final aggregates. Equivalences are as follows:
