COPYRIGHT POLICY AND AUTHORIZATION
A. Copyright Policy
1. Copyright Ownership
As publisher of the Ghana Journal of Development Studies (GJDS), the Faculty of Integrated Development Studies (FIDS) of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana reserves all the rights of unqualified ownership of all submissions to and published in the GJDS.
2. Vestment of Copyright and Copyright Administration
While individual or group submissions and publications remain in the name of the authors (original), copyright ownership is vested in the GJDS and it publishers, the FIDS of UDS, Ghana. Hence, the FIDS and GJDS of UDS, Ghana will administer all copyrights exclusively.
3. Copyright Authorization
As copyright owner, the FIDS and GJDS of UDS, Ghana are the only constituency that can authorize any reproductions, copying, reprints, storage, retrievals, modifications and any other intellectual rights provisions under the International and Ghana copyrights laws and related provisions.
4. Author Responsibility
Individual and group authors, however, will bear total responsibility and liabilities thereof of inaccuracies, errors, omission, commissions, misappropriations and/or any other intellectual dishonesty on the part of authors regarding articles, papers, monographs, reviews and/or any other materials published in the GJDS.
5. Indemnity
The GJDS and FIDS of UDS, Ghana claim total indemnity of any breaches, intellectual or otherwise on the part of authors and shall be not liable to any such breeches or offences. By submitting your article to and/or paper for publication in the GJDS you are all agreeing to its copyrights policy as well as ceding all copyrights to the FIDS and the GJDS of UDS, Ghana
6. Rights of Original Authors
Works of any kind or form shall bear the name or any other identification of that author(s) in the form submitted. Any need for change shall be done with the express permission of the author(s). Authors shall use their published works only within the copyrights terms above.
