VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of:
- ASSISTANT ESTATE OFFICERS
- SENIOR ESTATE ASSISTANTS
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- ASSISTANT ESTATE OFFICERS
Candidates must possess a Masters degree in Land Economy from a recognized tertiary institution with two years’ post-qualification experience in a similar position, or be a member of a recognized Professional Body.
Candidates must possess either a Bachelor Degree or HND in Estate Management or any relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution with two years post-qualification experience in a similar position.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Successful candidates will assist the Estate Officer in the management of the Estate Unit in the Works and Physical Development Department of the University. The Estate Unit is responsible for the following, among others;
- Acquisition and management of landed property
- Land administration
- Allocation and management of office and residential accommodation
- Supervision of maintenance of university-owned and rented landed properties
- Furnishing of office and residential accommodation
- Controlling the inventory of all chattels in offices and residential accommodation
- Valuation of landed property
- Preparation of annual unit reports.
