BA (Ghana), MSc. Regional Development Planning (Kumasi), PhD (Rensselaer, Troy, New York), PGDE (Cape Coast), Certificate in Micro Regional Planning (Rehovot, Israel).

Before joining CCEIR, as a Director, he was the Director of the Institute for Development Studies , University of Cape Coast where he instituted many career oriented Master of Arts (MA) courses in Environmental Management, Labour Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies among others.

Prof .S.B.Kendie specializes in Development Planning and Environmental Management. Prof Kendie is Associate Professor of Development Planning and Environmental Management and has authored many books and peer reviewed Journal articles. He has been involved in the design of several research projects in the social sciences including base-line surveys and has wide ranging experience in rural water and sanitation research in Northern Ghana.
