Library Complex
The University has libraries on all its campuses. To improve upon the quality of research, teaching and learning, the GETFund has completed constructing one ultra-modern library on the Nyankpala campus and one on the Tamale campus.

The EBSCO Host database has the following resources:
- Academic Search Premier -This is the world’s largest multi-disciplinary database. It provides full-text articles for nearly 4.650 serials, including 3,600 peer-reviewed titles.
- Business Source Premier-This is the most used business research database, providing full-text for more than 8,800 serials. Coverage includes all areas related to business.
- Medline - Medline provides authoritative information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences and many more.
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition - This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. It also features abstracts and indexing for almost 850 journals.
- Clinical Pharmacology - This provides access to up-to date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs for all U.S prescription drugs, hard-to-find herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new and investigational drugs.

AGORA—Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture - AGORA provides free access to more than 500 journals from major scientific publishers in the fields of food, agriculture, environmental science, and related social science, AGORA is available to students and researchers in qualifying not-for-profit institutions in eligible developing countries. HINARI-Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative - The Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative (HINARI) provides free or very low cost online access to the major journals in biomedical and related social sciences to local, non-profit institutions in development countries. As of February 2007, over 3750 journals were accessible through HINARI.
OARE-Online Access to Research in the Environment - Coordinated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Yale University, and leading science and technology publishers, OARE enables developing countries to gain access to one of the world's largest collections of environmental science research. Offers over 1,300 peer reviewed titles by over 340 prestigious publishing houses and scholarly societies.

TEEAL- The Essential Electronic Agricultural Library - TEEAL is a full-text and bibliographic CD-ROM library of more than 140 of the world’s most important scientific journals in the field of agriculture. It actually comprises the journal holdings of Cornell University in the fields of Nutrition, Agriculture and the social sciences.
UDS Library has through CTA and GAINS acquired the Local Area Network version of this database-LanTEEAL, this makes it possible for ten users to simultaneously freely access the full-text articles on this database.

Full Text Journals - Open Access/ Almost-Open –Access Journals (any country)
Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) - DOAJ covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, aiming to cover all subjects and languages. As of February 2006, there are 20014 journals in the directory.
African Journals on line (AJOL) - Provides access to citations and full text of over 230 African journals covering most subject areas. AJOL also offers a document delivery service which is free to users and participating journals. Document delivery requests from outside of developing countries are not free.
Bioline International - Features 30 peer-reviewed journals from Brazil, Cuba, India, Indonesia, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Subjects include: health (tropical medicine, infectious diseases, epidemiology, emerging new diseases), biodiversity, environment, conservation and international development).
Electronic Journals Library - University Library of Regensburg offers the “Electronic Journals Library,” which contains over 25,000 titles, of which over 10,500 journals can be read free-of- charge.
Highwire (Stanford University) - Highwire facilitates access to over 1.1 million full text scholarly articles on medical/biomedical topics. Most journal titles covered include back issues older than 12-24 months.
Scholarly Journals Distributed via the World Wide Web (University of Houston Libraries) - Provides links to established web-based scholarly journals that offer access to English language articles. No user registration of fees required.
British Library for Development Studies - (click on: “List only free Internet editions”)
portals.kit.nl - This is a database of journals in the fields of Medicine, Health Sciences, Biological Sciences, Applied Sciences and Agriculture published in Asia.
