The University Relations is the Public Relations and Marketing arm of the University, the University Relations Section is reponsible for Event Management and Publicity of the University. The University Relations, perform the following functions on behalf of the University;
- Liaison with the print and electronic media
- Advertising
- Protocol assignments
- Involvement in the Organization of the University's Congregation and Matriculation
- Issuing of Communiques for the Education and Information of internal publics

Publishing of the UDS Newsletter on regular basis to disseminate information on the events and activities of the University to all Stakeholders - both internal and external

Publishing the Vice-Chancellor's Report
- Publishing the Programme and List of Graduands
