Background
Mr. Selasi Dzitse is an enthusiastic conservation biologist specializing in avian ecology, distribution, ethnology, and conservation. Mr. Dzitse is also interested in several emerging areas of conservation biology, including Environmental DNA (eDNA), the social dimension of biodiversity conservation (e. g, Community Resource Management Areas (CREMA)), His primary focus is on hornbill conservation and other keystone species. He is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Species Survival Commission, Hornbill Special Group (HSG), which works with other conservationists globally to influence research and formulate conservation policies. He has won grants from Idea Wild, The Holohil Grant, and the Indianapolis Zoo Grant.
