Background

Ziblim Abukari Imoro (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Conservation Ecology in the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Management, University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale. He is presently the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment. Prof. Imoro began his career as a teacher at Zabzugu Senior High School and subsequently served as Cotton Production Officer with Ghana Cotton Limited in Tamale. In October 2007, Prof. Imoro was appointed as a lecturer at the University for Development Studies. He rose through the ranks from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, and held several positions, including Faculty Academic Quality Assurance Officer, Faculty Coordinator for the Third Trimester Field Practical Programme, and Head of the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Management. He has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate research works, many of which have been published in reputable journals.

With over forty refereed Journal and Book chapter publications, Prof. Imoro is a member of professional bodies including Ghana Institute of Horticulturists (GhIH), and Ghana Institute of Foresters (GIF). His core areas of research include Rangeland Ecology and Management, Wildlife Habitat Assessment and Management, Soil Quality and Health Improvement, Biodiversity Conservation, Habitat Restoration, and Forage Sciences.
