Dr. Naziru Issah is a Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, University for Development Studies (UDS), and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. A proud alumnus of Tamale Senior High School (Tamasco), he obtained a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in 2010 and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2014 from the University of Ghana. His professional journey began at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, after which he joined the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) in 2017 as a Medical Officer, where he later pursued his membership training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In August 2024, Dr. Issah joined the University for Development Studies as a Lecturer and was appointed Acting Head of the Department of Adult Oral Health at the School of Dentistry. His academic and clinical roles reflect his commitment to advancing oral health education and improving specialized dental care in northern Ghana.
Dr. Issah is currently pursuing a fellowship program in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH). He is married and a father of four, balancing his professional responsibilities with a fulfilling family life.
