Call for Papers - 3rd UDS Research Week Celebration and 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference (AIC) 2026

The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (IIR) of the University for Development Studies (UDS) is pleased to invite researchers, academics, policymakers, development practitioners, industry experts, graduate students, and innovators to submit abstracts and full papers for the 3rd UDS Research Week Celebration and the 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference (AIC) 2026.

Under the theme “Harnessing Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation for Resilient Communities and National Development,” the conference seeks to provide a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, presentation of cutting-edge research, and promotion of innovative solutions to contemporary development challenges. As part of the broader UDS Research Week Celebration, the conference will bring together scholars and practitioners from diverse disciplines to explore how collaborative research and innovation can contribute to sustainable development, social resilience, economic transformation, environmental sustainability, and improved governance.

Participants are encouraged to submit original research papers, case studies, policy analyses, innovations, and practice-oriented works that align with the conference theme and sub-themes, including climate change and environmental resilience, digital innovation and artificial intelligence, health and education systems, governance and peacebuilding, agriculture and rural transformation, and innovation ecosystems for global competitiveness.

The conference will feature oral and poster presentations, panel discussions, innovation exhibitions, and selected opportunities for publication in conference proceedings and UDS-affiliated journals. Outstanding contributions will also be recognized through various awards.

  4. Venue: UDS Guest House, Dungu, Tamale Campus
