UDS Nursing Students Receive Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Excellence Awards

Two Nursing students of the University for Development Studies (UDS) have received awards of excellence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the regulatory body that monitors, enlists and regulates the activities of nurses and midwives in Ghana. The council conducts licensing examinations for qualification as Nurses Assistants, Nurses and Midwives, and also as a form of qualification for registration as Professionals.

The two Nursing graduates from the School of Nursing and Midwifery of UDS, Messrs. Okasha Mohammed and Ebenezer Namabu Kwame, received the excellence awards from the NMC following their sterling performances during the licensure examination. They were awarded Best Candidate for Registered Pediatric Nurse and Best Candidate for Registered Nurse practitioner respectively.

The University is Proud to have these students, as well as others who participated in the examination as their products, and promises to produce more excellent students and practioners in the future.
