Prof. Adams Sulemana Achanso is an Associate Professor of Social Policy at the Faculty of Sustainable Development, University for Development Studies. He was appointed a lecturer in the Department of Development Education Studies in 2011. In 2017, he was promoted as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Development Education Studies. He was the Foundation Head of Department of Development Education Studies from 2013 to 2018. He was also the Dean of the Faculty of Education from 2018 to 2020. Prof. Achanso was the Board Chairman of the Savannah Regional Lands Commission and the Advisory Board Chairman of Bole Nursing and Midwifery College from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, he was a Board Member of the Ghana National Lands Commission from 2021 to 2025. He was also a Board Member of the Bui Power Authority from 2017 to 2020. In addition, he was the District Chief Executive of Bole District from 2003 to 2005. Prof. Achanso has a Book and 30 peer-reviewed articles to his credit. He is a columnist in a number of electronic media platforms, including Myjoyone.com, Ghanaweb.com and Modernghana.com. Prof. Achanso likes counselling, peace-building, listening to music, dancing and cleaning.
